We have had the Mini M.U.L.E for about 4 or 5 years now. It has held up for him. He has been biking since 2 and hiking since 3. This is the perfect size for ages 2 1/2 and up. My son is currently 8 and he still uses it. I am acutally going to upgrade him to the Scout in the next few months, as he needs more storage for shed layers and his hikes are getting longer. He has taken the MULE everywhere from riding bikes, camping, hikes, disneyland, the beach, even baseball and soccer practice.... It was a very good investment. We wish it had more storage as he is now older. But it fit our needs for the past 4 years. He can carry a lot in the mule. He carries a full first aid kit, flashlight, whistle, 3 cliff bars, 2 fruit leathers, and whatever "treasures" he finds on our hikes.
Ok so I bought this bag not knowing it was for kids. Im a really skinny 18 y/o and it fits me fine. It’s good if you just want a small bag.
When I brought it home and filled it with water the thing started leaking right away and I was worried it was broken. So for a good 30min I experimented to see where it was leaking from and if I could fix it. And I found that the blue plastic ring that’s suppose to go under the screw lock thing when you close it was causing it to leak and if I screwed t...he thing on without it, it didn’t leak anymore. So if your bag is leaking don’t automatically assume the worst, see if yours has this stupid blue ring. You’re able to take it off with a little force so its not just dangling everywhere.
I’ve had this thing for a couple days and it hasn’t leaked since. It’s really cool, actually has more space than it looks like it should have. I’m excited to take it to camp in the summer

What is the difference between an antidote reservoir and a crux reservoir? Does this also fit torsos up to 16 inches?
DIANA K
The Crux reservoirs have replaced the antidote reservoirs and offers new features and enhancements as well as 20% more water with every sip. This pack does fit a torso from 30-40 cm/12-16 in.

is it waterproof?
ANGELA R
It is not waterproof. Water resistant maybe, but stuff inside will eventually get wet.
SCOTT B
I would say that it is water resistant to a point, but it will eventually get wet inside.
DHIPANEE M
I would not say that it's waterproof but extremely water resistant. I have not been in a torrential rainstorm with any of my children (who use those) but we have been in situations where it's sprinkled heavily and it's kept all of their contents dry.
