I purchased two of these mini mules for my grandkids. they were the perfect size, and easy for the kids to keep themselves hydrated. I have purchased several camelbak hydration packs through the years and am never disappointed. I highly recommend these.

This delivery was prompt and it was packaged very well. Even though none of this would have broken, care was taken with the packing.

Is the plastic bladder and tube anti microbial?

Yes, I bought this for my granddaughter and her father thoroughly researched it prior to purchase to make sure it was totally safe.

Hi, is the water compartment removable? We have an OLD camelback and we remove the water pouch insert on occassion so my son can use it on school field trips to only carry a snack or two and a small bottle of water and his phone. I would love to get one for my daughter but want to make sure we can remove the water pouch so the pack can be empty.
Many thanks!!!

The reservoir is removable to create a bit of extra room in the pack. We cannot guarantee that there will be a great amount of space available once removed, but it does come out.

My little one loves to drink from my Camelbak and tries to carry it around herself. We are looking for a special "big sister" present for her for this summer when our new babies arrive. She will be just 2 and is on the more petite side. Will this be a silly idea for her or do you think it would work?

I don't think it is a silly idea. I got one for my 2.5 yo and she loves it. She loves drinking water whenever she wants on our walks n hikes. I just keep it light for her. She was asking "big girl now?"

It might be a little much for a petite 2 year old. It is not heavy, but it holds equivalent 2 1/2 bottles of water. Might work if you didn't fill it. I bought for a good size 10 year old. Looks just right.

The pack is slightly bigger then the mini backpacks I had for my kids at that age. And with the water weight, even though the bag is great a distributing the weight I think she would find it heavy. My neighbors 5 year old is very petite and had no problem with it this year but I'm sure someone else would have had to carry it previous to this year. My almost 4 year old has a hard time remembering how to close the nuzzle so it doesn't leak, which leads to tears when her clothes get wet. If you don't mind strapping it to the stroller and helping her lock it it may be a good purchase for her to grow into. But I doubt it would be an independent gift and may cause some extra stress because of the help using it would require over a regular water bottle. Best wishes on the new arrival!
